Brother, I am right there with you.

I know people who create masterpieces with Photoshop - photographers, artists, graphic designers. They have memorized innumerable keyboard shortcuts and fly around the GUI at blinding speeds.

Me? I open it up, look at the little icons, expand menus, try this and that, then close it and curl up in the corner for a few.

I suppose there are people who have this reaction to other software programs with which I don't struggle, and there are people who feel this way about the controls and menus on digital cameras that I understand pretty well (once I remember where the control is buried in the menus). But I'm with you: Photoshop puts me right off. Thankfully all of the tools I need are available elsewhere.
